Welcome to the Hebron United Methodist Church.
We are a growing church located on 9811 Main Street in Hebron, IL. We welcome, affirm and celebrate all people and we look forward to worshiping with you! Come see what HUMC is all about. Join us Sunday mornings for Worship Service at 10:30 a.m., and Fellowship Café following the service.
Our Welcoming Statement

We celebrate the changes made at General Conference that bring about the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people into the life of the church and we celebrate the removal of the harmful language from the Book of Discipline that once called our beloved LGBTQ+ siblings “incompatible.” We at HUMC affirm the divine nature of our LGBTQ+ siblings and ask God to keep forming us into advocates for justice, love and inclusion. We joyfully thank all those who have worked diligently and so faithfully over decades to bring us to this new day.
Let’s Kick Off our Church School Year!
We’ve Got Team Spirit Rally Day is September 14th at 10:30 a.m. After worship we will head to the Never Say Never Playland in Delavan, WI (picnic lunch provided) and see the Playland that was constructed with the help of funds raised by the HUMC Kids/Youth over the years!

Thank you for Celebrating 100 Years with us!

No words can describe the joy of Celebrating the 100th birthday of our beloved Sanctuary and the hands and hearts that have kept it our HUMC worship space! On July 5th we joined the Hebron Independence Day Parade with a miniature version of our church building. Following the parade, the Hebron community stopped in for ice cream and cookies and walked through a historical audio tour of our Sanctuary and the individuals who were honored in 1925 after its initial construction. On July 6th we welcomed District Superintendent Wendy Hardin Hermann to our church. She delivered an inspiring message – one that resonated with many of us: “Nothing is impossible with God.” We enjoyed a beautiful rededication service, with special music by Stephanie Kasten, Shirlee Correll, James Hampton, as well as the HUMC Kids/Youth. We ended the celebration with an HUMC Potluck Luncheon. Thank you to all the hands and hearts that made this celebration come together in such a meaningful and beautiful way! During our January 12th worship service, we watched a video of our Bishop Dan Schwerin reading a pastoral letter from the United Methodist Council of Bishops addressing the plight of migrants, immigrants and refugees. The Northern Illinois Conference has also provided a number of resources on their website www.umcnic.org, some of which we are including here:
ACLU Illinois – Immigrant Rights/Know your Rights
Resources for Putting Faith into Action
Northern Illinois Justice For Our Neighbors
